The Services of the Council
- Advises on professional standards and regulatory matters related to nursing
- Governs the training of Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Assistants
- Maintains a Register for Nurses and Midwives
- Maintains a Register for Student Nurses and Pupil Midwives
- Maintains a Roll for Nursing Assistants and Trainees
- Processes applications for registration of nurses and enrolment of Nursing Assistants trained locally and abroad
- Processes transcripts and verifications for applicants to and from foreign countries
- Processes transcripts for applicants to Advanced Nursing Programmes locally
- Issues permits to applications for entry to approved training institutions for nursing
- Issues temporary registration to nurses trained abroad on special assignments locally
- Processes applications for students from abroad requesting elective placement locally.
